Centralized User Management

With the introduction of our .NET applications, we now have centralized user administration for I.T. personnel. This allows users, user groups, security settings, and various other application settings to be stored in one centralized location making user management and administration much easier.

This centralized model allows enterprise administrators to manage users more efficiently by avoiding the setup and maintenance of redundant information across applications.

User Groups - similar to the Groups concept in Windows Networking – can be created that let you set the same rights for multiple users. Users assigned to the User Group inherit its security settings.

High-level password security is also available. Available options: 

  • Expire passwords after a certain number of days 

  • Require a minimum password length 

  • Require a minimum amount of numbers 

  • Use case-sensitive passwords and require a minimum number of upper-case characters 

  • Choose to allow or disallow empty passwords

Windows Active Directory users can authenticate to BS&A applications using their Active Directory login credentials. Available options: 

  •  While creating new users, you have the option to import existing users from Active Directory, speeding up the initial setup of your user database. 

  • You can set the Active Directory authentication to automatically authenticate and log users into the applications. 

  • You can authenticate a user’s login information against Active Directory without performing the automatic login.
